When combining images I try to create a translucent blending of form and light. Here I have used a sunset image (from my backyard a couple years ago) with a window frame from a London apartment building. Careful use of layer masking allowed for a feathering of the blend. Do you think it works? by the way I am enjoying my Nikon D700. Way cool.

CK - Spooky image. Perfect for this time of year. Would work well as an album cover for a rock band - TW
